About the company
Since entering production in 1972 the Dow site at Stade has become one of the most important and largest manufacturing plants in Lower-Saxony.

So far nearly 3 billion EUR have been invested in the state of the art, integrated chemical complex on Bützflether Sand.

On 5,5 square kilometers and in 16 different production plants some 1,500 own employees plus several hundreds from cooperating companies produce about 4 million tons of basic and specialty chemicals per year for internal use and für national and international customers. 

The efficient integration of its production plants, the huge salt deposits in the region and the highly qualified and motivated of the employees make the Stade a location is of strategic importance to The Dow Chemical Company.
