Dow increases its production capacities in Stade
|

Dow is currently increasing its production capacity in Stade for propylene glycol (PG). The PG production facility will be extended in 2 phases. This year, capacity will increase from 190 000 to 225 000 tonnes per year, with an additional 45 000 tonnes per year by 2009.
Upon completion of the measures to increase capacity, the plant will be producing 270 000 tonnes a year, making it the largest PG plant in the world. The production capacity of propylene oxide will also be increased from 590 000 to 630 000 tonnes per year.
“The additions to the facilities are a further step to guaranteeing our future,“ says Stade Plant Manager, Rudolf Lamm. The changes strengthen Stade’s competitiveness as a location and add to job security.
